Indiana State Police Purchase Multiple HyperSpike Acoustic Hailing Devices

31 May 2013

Columbia City, Indiana – Ultra Electronics – USSI announces today that it has received an order from the Indiana State Police for multiple HyperSpike Acoustic Hailing Devices (AHDs).

Ultra Electronics – USSI manufactures a wide range of AHDs that have the ability to send crystal clear voice messages ranging from 500 to 3000 meters and beyond.  The HyperSpike patented technology allows sound generated from the speaker to be narrow and focused, allowing an operator to send a voice message at an intended target. Law enforcement personnel will deploy the units for such applications as crowd control, mass notification, and hostage negation, creating a safe standoff distance for operators.

“With Ultra Electronics – USSI headquartered in northern Indiana, it was great hear we earned the business from the Indiana State Police. We look forward to hearing success stories of the units being deployed, allowing us to share this information with new customers.”

said Patrick Allison, Head of Marketing and Sales at Ultra Electronics – USSI.

All HyperSpike AHDs have the best power to size ratio in the market place. For the most common units, operators can easily mount and transport the device to any desired location. Ultra Electronics – USSI designed all AHDs to meet the most demanding environmental conditions including high low temperatures, rain, humidity, and salt fog.

Ultra Electronics - USSI is an innovative global supplier of highly intelligible, ruggedized, long range acoustic communication devices, and high power and commercial speaker arrays. Being deployed world-wide, these products are used in diverse applications such as crowd control, mass notification, border/port security, law enforcement, maritime security, perimeter protection, and more.
